Pre-employment medicals are completed by many of our General Practitioners with assistance from one of our experienced Primary Care Nurses.
The medicals are designed to assess if a candidate is physically capable for the proposed employment.
In most cases candidates are provided with paperwork by the organisation which has requested the medical be conducted. In some cases we have the required paperwork on-site.
We ask that candidates arrive 15 minutes prior to their appointment in order to complete the paperwork.
Candidates are typically booked for 45 minutes, the first 15 minutes with one of our Primary Care Nurses, the following 15 to 30 minutes with the Doctor.
The examination will vary depending on the company and any specific needs of the job. This could include urine examination, visual acuity, hearing test, blood tests, review of your medical history and a medical examination by the Doctor.
Once the medical has been completed, the Doctor will complete a report which is then sent to the requesting company.
